Trail Report Cliffhanger, Moab, Utah 1It’s Red Rock 4-Wheeler’s Easter Jeep Safari again, and it’s great to be back in Moab, Utah! A week-long event of trail riding and fun. Why not kick it off with the Warn Industries’ media run to the Cliffhanger Trail? It’s a perfect trail to get the morning started, as well as your adrenaline! During this time of the year, the weather can still be chilly in the morning, so we grabbed our hot coffee, provided by GearHeads Coffee, and our sack lunches, followed by a quick driver meeting. We headed up along the Colorado River with over 25 Jeeps in tow, figuratively – not literally. Warn Industries people and many industry icons were aired down and ready for a day in 4LOW!.

Since it was my birthday, I got to drive Rockstar, my two-door “cloaked” JK, on a trail I’ve wanted to do for a long time. It was time to cinch up my harness and make this trail mine.

Cliffhanger gets your attention right off the bat as you descend into the canyon and back up over the Amasa Back, a peninsula created by a U-turn in the Colorado River. The trail has gotten pretty beat up, and with 35” tires or less, the trail would be super challenging to sketchy. In this case, this trail ride has all Warn winch-equipped rigs and amazing spotters to help get everyone through. Cliffhanger lives up to its name; about ¾ of the way through, there is a huge drop-off and difficult descent near the side of a cliff. The views are amazing, and the company was even better. EJS 2022 was a huge success this year!
