Innovator Pat Gremillion and his wife, Jan, have been leaders in the off-road industry for decades.Founder of the PullPal company and Premiere Power Welding; Pat marketed both products the old-style way, by being out on the trail showing you exactly why you needed it.
Pull-Pal came first, invented by his father-in-law in 1967; and given to Pat in 1986 to market. Pat got his first break with George Elliott, former editor of Off-Road Magazine, his neighbor. Over the years, Pat has sold over 20,000 Pull-Pals.
Premiere Power Welding came next: a welder in a box. With Pat’s background as a welder on highrises in the LA building boom, Pat had the experience to know exactly how good the Premiere Power Welder was. When he got the dealership, Pat would hang out on the hardest trails and wait for someone to break. When they did, he’d jump in and weld them up with the Premiere Power Welder; it drew a lot of attention and sold a lot of welders.
Currently, Pat and Jan still man the phones when necessary, and they spend time supporting their son, Max, and his inventions; according to Pat, “Max takes after his grandfather.”
